Bored of your wife's casserole? Exhausted of every meal deal? Or just ready to get back to normality?
Bojo has got us sorted for August.
Your questions are answered below with everything you need to know about the "Eat Out to Help Out" Scheme.
Look out for the logo to know which establishments will be supporting the scheme.
The UK Gov has even set up a search by postcode to all restaurants participating in the scheme.... and here it is conveniently for you:
So how does the scheme work?
From 3 to 31 August, get a 50% discount when you eat in at restaurants that are registered with the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme.
What’s available in the scheme:
Get a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner)
Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3rd and 31st August.. Out on a school night might be off putting but, at least you can work from home the next day.
As many times as you like, that’s right... no limits!
The discount will be automatically available to you at participating establishments. Those establishments will then claim a reimbursement from the government for the discount they’ve given you.
Wow, this sounds good.. do I need a voucher?
You don’t need a voucher to use the scheme AND you can use it at the same time as any other offers and discounts.
Tell me more!?
The best part…. there is no minimum spend. To put into context, Nandos Half Peri Peri Chicken and two sides for £4.90 instead of £11.20, Halloumi sticks and dips for £1.74 instead of £3.95. Bojo really does know how to spoil us.
Okay where’s the catch?
Real talk, unfortunately you cannot claim discount on alcoholic drinks or service charges. Also, you can only use the discount when eating in.. sorry deliveroo!
That’s okay, so where can I go?
With over 32,000 sign ups so far a lot of establishments are going to be offering the discounts under the scheme to drive the economy and build our confidence in eating out again. Restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, work/school canteens and food halls. You can support your local independent restaurants, go high end Michelin or get Mcdonalds for even cheaper.. But our top recommendations are below!
